Our team is composed of individuals with diversed interests and backgrounds but are weaved together to accomplish one ultimate goal, and that is to make a difference in the lives of the Filipinos in need, especially the children and the youth.

Josh Mahinay,
CEO & President

Josh is a passionate and committed leader of the organisation. From the inspiration of his life story that inspired the founding of BEAGIVER, he continues to empower ordinary people to do extraordinary things through his works. His eagerness to scale and expand the enterprise prompted him to take Master in Entrepreneurship at the Asian Institute of Management. He graduated in July 2019. Although it’s a different track from his Political Science undergraduate study in Misamis University, the program equipped him more with entrepreneurial knowledge and skills to lead and take the business to new heights.

Among the young faces of social enterprises in the country, Josh is a recipient of Developmental Social Entrepreneurship Awards 2017 (DSEA), Huwarang OFW Awards 2016 (CBN Asia), and just recently, was awarded Young Entrepreneur of 2019 by the Takeda Foundation in University of Tokyo, Japan. 

Aside from being the CEO and President of BEAGIVER, he also holds other positions in different companies and organizations. He is a Board of Director at Yellow Boat of Hope USA, Vice President of Filinvestor International Foundation, and Managing Partner of Splice Business Solutions Co., Ltd.

Dr. Anton Mari Lim,
Corporate Partnerships

A well-known Philanthropist, named one of Forbes Asia’s 2016 Heroes of Philanthropy, Dr. Anton Mari Lim is a Veterinarian by profession who graduated at the University of the Philippines and ranked 10 in the country during the professional board exams in 1982. He also finished a Masters Degree in Business Administration at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University which helped him succeed on his entrepreneurial ventures. 

While leading as a Co-Founder of one of the country’s most respected NGO, The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation, in 2017, he joined BEAGIVER to share his expertise on corporate networking and community projects implementation. His experience and leadership has brought a grounded perspective to the young team. He is the designated CEO of BEAGIVER Dreams Project, the giving arm of BEAGIVER Ventures Inc. 

Regarded as one of the country’s most respected community development worker, In 2019, Dr. Lim was invited to participate in US Department of State’s Professional Exchange Program, the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) project “Volunteerism and Civic Action” last April 22 – May 10, 2019, he was the sole representative of the Philippines.

Jerry Mae Maghinay,
Finance

Jerry Mae is a graduate from Mindanao State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Her first stint after graduation was a job at a BPO company which was short-lived. In her pursuit of a more meaningful, challenging and empowering career, she sought an executive assistant position at BEAGIVER in 2017. Her display of hard work, honesty and reliability landed her a bigger and important role in Finance, just a year after joining the company. To perform on her role excellently, she trained by attending executive sessions on finance and administration. 

She is playing a very important role in monitoring the financial performance of the enterprise and in managing expenditures, including making recommendations to the management on decisions that impact the financial assets of the  enterprise.

Charmian Cornejo
Community Manager & Campaigns Acquisition Officer

Bryan graduated Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a Bachelor of Arts  degree in Broadcast Communication. He is trained in advertising, scriptwriting and audio and video production. He was a former Marketing Associate of an out-of-home advertising company based in Singapore, TPM Outdoor.

Bryan’s interest in social entrepreneurship and passion for youth empowerment goes back to 2010 when he co-founded the project “Financial Literacy for the Youth Program” which aims to instill to the youth the habit and value of saving. The project won in the 2014 Search for the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations in the Philippines.  Through BEAGIVER, Bryan continues to continue his passion and hone his skills by serving as the creatives specialist in charge of all the creative outputs of the company. 

Romeo Ayyong Jr.
Quality Assurance

Romeo Jr. B. Ayyong graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree major in Marketing Management at the National College of Business and Arts-Fairview. Romeo has been involved in a lot of organizations. In 2016-2017, he was the Board of Director of the Bayyo Youth Association-Manila, an association that focuses on organizing projects that preserve the culture and care for the welfare of tribal communities. Since college, Romeo has been a part of a ministry where he experienced connecting with students and leading youth initiatives in the campus.  Aside from his active participation in his organization, he also led the group that got the highest sales among all the startup groups and won the Best StartUp Business Award in Start Me UP Business 2017. Apart from all of this, he also supported himself in school through his part-time jobs as a photobooth operator and a mechanical personnel for his family’s jeepneys. 

His experiences in helping students and involvement in the empowerment of tribal communities led him to become BEAGIVER’s Quality Assurance officer enabling him to connect to more students and more people from far-flung communities by facilitating the operations of bag drive campaigns. He also assists in sales management.  

Ellinore Coleen Raro
Partnerships &
Special Projects Officer

Coleen finished her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of the Philippines-Diliman in 2019. Originally wanting to work in media but falling in love with social studies, now instilled in her is a life purpose wanting to serve the people through working in programs and projects in the development sector. 

Coleen holds the Partnerships & Special Projects Officer position in BEAGIVER working very closely with our communities through the Community Empowerment Program & the BEAGIVER Enterprise Network. She is continuously looking for sponsorship and funding opportunities through partnerships with companies and organizations who want to make a change.

Coleen is skilled in qualitative social research & data analysis, actually interning in the Research and Production departments of Rappler last 2018, but is now focusing more on program management, aiming to get her Masters on Community Development or Women Development soon.

Von Joseph Sta. Cruz
Video Editing

Had it not been for Von, the experience of giving would have remained solely in the far-flung mountains and islands of our beneficiary communities. But thanks to his skills in photography and videography, we are able to show you how happy our benefIciary kids are everytime they get your gifts of new bags and raincoats for them. 

Von graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa where he was also part of the pioneer batch. 

Von had a lot of affiliations in college. During his freshman year, he already became part of CCA’s technical team. A few years later, he became the head of the College of Communication Arts (CCA) Radio Broadcasting Team and the co-leader of CCA Elite Dance Group. He also actively participated as a member of LENTE Club, a student organization for Photography and Videography and Sining at Tanghalan (SINGHAL) Theater Group.

Being BEAGIVER’s photographer and videographer allows him to see the warm smiles and genuine emotions of the student beneficiaries through his camera. For Von, this is what makes his job as a digital artist more meaningful and exceptional.

Romeo Ayyong Jr.
Quality Assurance

Romeo Jr. B. Ayyong graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree major in Marketing Management at the National College of Business and Arts-Fairview. He has been part of many organization, one of which is the Bayyo Youth Association-Manila which advocates for the preservation of the culture of Cordillera indigenous communities. 

 

Because of his advocacies for the indigenous people, Romeo has been key to the fulfillment of campaigns especially those whose beneficiary communities belong to the indigenous group of the Philippines. Thanks to this guy, we have successfully conducted over a hundred bag drives all over the country. Not that he buys all the bags… but he plays a huge part in making that happen!  As the Support Specialist, Romeo empowers our campaigners to spread the culture of generosity benefitting more children, schools and community! 

Marry Joy Arminal
Technical Support

Joy finished her Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Major in Infrastructure Track degree at Quezon City Polytechnic University.

She belongs to a loooot of organizations. And when we say a lot, we mean it!

During her college years, Joy was a member of QCPU Supreme Student Council – Council of Leaders. She  served as Barangay Sauyo – Task Force on Youth Development Council Member from 2014 to 2018 and Youth Representative on Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council – Barangay Sauyo. A member of Sigaw ng Kabataan Coalition, she received the Gawad Lorena – Community Leadership Award last March 2017 during the 9th Kababaihang Dangal ng Bayan. She’s also an active member of Lectors and Commentators Ministry at The Our Father Parish since 2011 and also serves as one of the pioneer members of Kabataan Studio launched last December 2018, an online music channel for talented, passionate and dedicated young ones.

Joy’s experiences in youth leadership, coupled with her high level technical skills make her a key person in maintaining the reliability of BEAGIVER’s technology and digital infrastructures.

Von Joseph Sta. Cruz
Video Editing

Richard Manlapaz
Graphics

Richard graduated from Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa (KLL) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. He was one of the pioneer students of the College of Communication Arts (CCA).

Richard’s stay in college has given him a lot of experiences in creative production. As early as second year, he was already a part of CCA’s technical team. He was also a member of LENTE Club– an organization for photography and videography, and was the head of CCA CG Artist, a student organization for Computer-Generated-Imagery in 2015. Richard’s specializations include graphics, video editing and 3D graphics. He is also very skilled in using CG softwares such as Adobe products, Nuke products, Autodesk products and Luxology. His exceptional technical skills make him a significant instrument in the production of all the creative output of BEAGIVER.
