I am Beaulah Altoveros, a teacher from Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur and this is the Batch 3 of the campaign I initiated for students to stay motivated in pursuing their studies.
The middle of the school year is usually noted as the “Dropping Time” of students in various schools. The common cause of this high drop-out rate is poverty and the risk is evidently increasing especially now that we’re still struggling in this pandemic. Although the students do not go to school and instead continue their education at home, they still need basic school supplies to study. Moreover, with the economic impact of the pandemic, most of their families are still struggling to put food on their tables and are in dire need of financial assistance.
Through “Pantawid Eskwela sa Gitna ng Pandemya” I aim to raise Mataga School Kits containing school supplies and grocery items to be given to students from Kinder to Grade 6.
Be a giver! Let’s support and motivate the 60 pupils of Mataga Elementary School to continue their studies by giving them school supplies and groceries for their families. The locals are generally indigenous and farming is not so productive in the place. That’s why purchasing just one Mataga School Kit can already greatly benefit one family.
For PhP 320, you can purchase a Mataga School Kit which contains:
-Plastice Envelope with Handle
-Pad Paper (Grade 1-4)
-Intermediate Pad Paper (Grade 5-6)
-Pencil/Ballpen
-Crayon (Single)
-Rice (per kilo)
-Detergent bar
-Noodles
-Bath Soap
