I’m Ralf Agustin, and I hail from the beautiful province of Palawan, specifically the enchanting village of Linapacan. In 2019, I embarked on a heartwarming mission that we lovingly called “BAG FOR TAGBANUA PUPILS” in my community of Brgy. Calibangbangan. Little did I know that this initiative would ignite a spark of hope and inspiration in the hearts of 101 school kids, ranging from kindergarten to Grade 6 pupils, when we distributed school bags filled with love in August 2020.

Fast forward to today, as life seems to be returning to a sense of normalcy, I am filled with renewed enthusiasm to continue this incredible journey of empowering the young minds of our community.

Brgy. Barangonan, a part of the Municipality of Linapacan, Palawan, holds a special place in my heart. It’s a haven for the Tagbanua people, with approximately 70% of the population belonging to this unique community. Getting to Barangonan is an adventure in itself, requiring a scenic two-hour boat ride from the main town of Linapacan. Here, the sea is our friend, and most folks rely on fishing as their primary source of livelihood.

As a Tagbanua myself, I am driven by a deep desire to instill hope and aspiration in the hearts of the young minds in Barangonan. Education is the key that unlocks doors to a brighter future, and I believe that every child deserves a chance to pursue their dreams, no matter where they come from.

By providing them with the tools and encouragement they need to pursue their education, we can uplift their lives and enable them to carry the torch of generosity forward, ensuring that the spirit of giving lives on in our community.
