Banbanan Elementary School is around two (2) hours away from Dipolog City with a very rough dirt road that is only accessible via motorbikes / habal-habal. It has a close-knit community where parents and teachers work hand-in-hand with what little resources they have to ensure that the children get an education.

In fact, back in 2013, the school could only accommodate Kindergarten to Grade 2 students but because of the effort of all the parents and the teachers, more classrooms were then built from 2014 to 2016.

Now, Banbanan Elementary School has 128 students and, if you visit the school, you will meet parents who would walk several kilometers every day to bring their children to school and wait for them until the end of their classes. These parents would even bring their lunch with them and help clean the school and the surrounding area until the bell rings.

As one parent put it, because they saw the efforts of the teachers to educate their children, they were given hope and inspiration to also do their part in bringing their children to school even if it meant walking great distances every day from their homes.

That’s why we, too, would like to do our part. Help us raise 128 bags for the students of Banbanan Elementary School!
