“KAAIKAN SATONG TABANGAN”

Education is very important for us Filipinos. Our parents regard it as our key to a brighter future while genuine leaders acknowledge its importance in the betterment of our society. However, our pursuit of making education accessible to all is becoming even more challenging due to our country’s situation where we had to make drastic changes to our education system, affecting the hardworking teachers, parents, and the students.

“KAAIKAN SATONG TABANGAN” is a bicol phrase which means “HELP OUR CHILDREN”. Through this campaign we aim to help the children in our community overcome their difficulties in learning and help them thrive in the education system of the new normal. We also hope to promote education despite the existence of COVID-19. We believe that children are the country’s hope for a better future. That’s why we, the Municipal Youth Officials of Milaor, are advocating for the rights of our youth, would like to empower students by distributing basic educational materials for the Kindergarten pupils of the Municipality of Milaor, Camarines Sur .

We would like to invite you to support our campaign by donating any amount or purchasing a set of “KAAIKANG SATONG TABANG” for a kid. I am John Paul, 20 years old and currently a 3rd year college student . I am a former student leader since I was high school and now a Municipal Youth Official Councilor. My moto in life is " PWD is not just only define as Person with Disability, but a Person with Determination". Being a person with club foot an inborn orthopedic condition, I have a lot of insecurities and I experienced a lot of rejections but instead of giving up I used to make those bad memories as my inspiration to inspire others. Growing up with a disability and raising in a family with haven't financial stability it was difficult to study however, I am grateful for having a real life heroes which are my parents, I witness all their sacrifices to be able to sustain my needs specially in education and that's the reason for my eagerness and willingness to help children more specifically those unprivileged.
