Peace be with you! I have known Josh Mahinay and Doc Anton for a good number of years as BeAGiver and Yellow Boats were still in the making stages. God has blessed these projects in great heights and I'm proud to be a part of it! I am a nurse @ Sutter Health Hospital in Modesto, California and have first-hand seen and served COVID-19 patients and their families. Whatever walk and talk in life we have about this pandemic, we all are, if not will be, affected. Some, more than others unfortunately, this, I realized, and prayed for a role to exercise my faith over fear. It's been imprinted in my heart to help the people of Calatrava, Negros Occidental and it's neighboring communities as Jesus loves them, too! I was born and grew up in Calatrava with my Lola until my sister and I joined the rest of our family in NY in 1990. I graduated from a Nursing Program in NY and now living in California. When I remember my mother who was an OR nurse, she was always sending medical supplies and had high hopes for wellness for Calatrava of which I inherited this heart for Calatravanians. My Lola was a midwife and served Calatrava all her life delivering babies of Calatrava, including myself and my younger siblings. Most places are ill-equipped to tackle this virulent pandemic, which definitely includes Calatrava but together, by God's grace, we will overcome as Christ has overcome this world. I believe we all are called to serve each other and I'm hoping here that the little or even more you will give will be a great help for our COVID-19 warriors. Outbreaks are beginning to surge in Calatrava and it's neighboring communities as family members from cities greatly affected with COVID-19 are going back home. These BeAGiver bags will be packed with a tent, Cebuano Holy Bible, literature on Corona virus explained, Vitamins, personal hygienic necessities such as towels, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash. Seeds are also included to plant while in quarantine.
