Face Masks for the people of Zamboanga who can’t afford to buy one

We at Tzu Chi Zamboanga are raising face masks for those who do not have, or can’t afford to buy masks, not to mention that supply for surgical masks is now very hard to find. Engaging our local dressmakers, we are aiming to make 20,000 pieces for the neediest of our ‘kababayans’ in this part of the Philippines. Wearing of the mask is a key preventive measure against COVID-19 virus and let’s come together to help the poor so we can continue to flatten the curve and win against this pandemic.

The mask is made of 3 layers: A tightly-woven denim outer material, Felon as the middle material (to serve as extra filter and a third layer made of cotton material in a form of a pouch that you can slide in facial tissue for additional filtration. It has a bias on the chin area and a pinchable “plastic wire” nose clip for a tighter fitting mask.

You can give one mask, or as many masks as you want according to your heart and capability. Thank you so much in advance!
