The Barangonan Elementary School (165 pupils), Pical Elementary School (254 pupils) and Pical National High School (148) is home to the Indigenous Community of Linapacan, Palawan.
With the ‘new normal’ and the new ways that school is going to be done, teachers and students are faced with a lot of challenges. Little do some of us know, but due to the pandemic, many children will not be able to pursue their schooling for the meantime. However, to encourage them to push through, distributing printed modules to students served as an alternative solution mandated by the institution.
For several years of working with teachers in depressed communities, we know the hardships that they go through just so they can fulfill their sworn duties, and many rely on the support of non-government stakeholders to deliver and perform their duties well.
The determination and passion that the teachers of BES, PES and PNHS put into their work are truly admirable that is why and my friends— Angeline Abina, Mary Joy Magalona, Norbe Joanne Ladao, Mark Axel Calix, John Cris Eugenio, Janric Vargas and I with Vice Mayor Ruin Q. Abin are initiating this campaign so we can give them support during this time. I am hoping to raise these 10 sets of Printing Starter Kit – 2 sets of which contain the following:
Epson L3110-9 Printer
1 set of Color + Blank Ink for Printer
5 Reams of Short Bond Paper
5 Reams of Long Bond Paper
Join us in showing our appreciation to teachers like them who go the extra mile to help their students pursue their education. Let us help them by raising 4 sets of Printing Starter Kits for the production of modules. Hope you support our campaign! Thank you in advance!
